Can Costelles II - Mediterranean Gem with Sea View

We spent the first week of our summer vacation this year in Can Costelles II. Next year, we will stay longer! Marc and Blanca are kind and responsive and should be proud of their offering.

The apartment has been fully renovated and though we had of course seen the pictures, we were still surprised to discover in person how nice it really is. Loads of effort and time has been spent on the interior design of the unit and the result is a unified space that feels pleasant and clean. Appliances, the huge televsion set, the matching finishes: everything is top-notch.

The apartment offers a great view of the Mediterranean through the sliding glass doors and from the terrace. The sandy beach is just a few steps away and we could hardly believe how uncrowded it was even in the middle of the summer high season. After swimming and a beachside shower we often took breaks back at the apartment. There we could enjoy a cold drink and a snack with a view before jumping back in.

On the beach and strolling the promenade (perfect with a dog too, as is the nearby dog-friendly beach) we could tell that most of the visitors to Cambrils are Spanish. The area retains an authentic and family friendly atmosphere which we appreciated. You see that too in the quality of the restaurants (several are within easy walking distance). Even the nearby xiringuitos serve great fare. Tons more restaurants are a leisurely 10 minute bike ride along the promenade away (and bikes are provided).

The canopy of the tall Mediterranean pine trees in the front garden are ideal parasols. Thankfully, any additional sun protection that would block that view is not needed. After our beach days we spent a lot of time around the table on the terrace enjoying the view and the sea breeze and watching people stroll by. If the water calls again then the complex’s community pool is open until midnight. Once it gets dark enough, the outdoor string lights would pop on making for a lovely place to linger.
